Am Wochenende 17./18. Januar 2026 stand ein Doppelheimspieltag für den RSV Bayreuth an. Am Samstag unterlag die Heimmannschaft gegen den direkten Konkurrenten RB Zwickau knapp mit 71:77. Gegen den Favoriten RSV Lahn-Dill gab es dann am Sonntag die erwartet deutliche Niederlage mit 36:86.
